Canadian Warship Visits the PhilippinesHMCS REGINA (FFH 334)

The Canadian Navy ship HMCS Regina arrived in Manila, the Philippines on February 1 for a goodwill visit.

 
During the visit, the Philippine Navy welcomed the ship’s crew and informed them on the security issues, intelligence and health situation in the city.
HMCS Regina was commissioned into the fleet on December 29th, 1993 and assigned to Maritime Forces Pacific (MARCPAC). Her primary goal is to serve on MARPAC missions, aimed at protecting Canada’s sovereignty in the Pacific Ocean, and to enforce the country’s laws in its territorial sea and exclusive economic zone.
The ship will depart Manila on February 5th, 2014.
