The U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) Norfolk has awarded a contract worth USD 6.6 million to Vigor Marine LLC, seated in Portland, Ore, for regular overhaul and dry docking availability of fleet replenishment oiler USNS Yukon (T-AO 202).If all options are exercised, the total amount of the contract could be raised for additional USD 1.4 million, bringing the total value to USD 8 million. The primary mission of USNS Yukon, a Henry J. Kaiser-class replenishment ship, is supplying fuel to U.S. Navy ships. Yukon is the 16th ship in a class of 18 underway replenishment oilers, built for the MSC. The oiler operates within the United States Pacific Fleet.
