USS DONALD COOK The US Navy’s guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) is preparing to depart Norfolk, Va. on 31 January and head to her new homeport, the WVEC.com informed.This 154-meter ship has a displacement of approximately 8,300 tons when fully loaded and can reach a speed of 30 knots. Ray Mabus, Secretary of the U.S. Navy announced in February 2012, that four Arleigh Burke-class destroyers will be forward deployed to Rota, Spain.
