 On 13 November 2013, the 26k gross ton ferry Ostend Spirit (previously Pride of Calais) went out with a prolonged blast of the ship’s whistle as she threaded the needle between two ship hulks at Turkey’s Aliaga Ship demolishing yard. In her hay-day, she was owned by P&O and sailed the the Dover-Calais route from 1987 for over two decades. Watch her last hurrah here:              |
