* Australian naval ship docks in Colombo Port in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit

Jun 02, Colombo: Sri Lanka Navy, in accordance with naval traditions, welcomed Australian Naval Ship "HMAS Toowoomba" ships arrived at the Port of Colombo Friday on a goodwill visit.
The ship is heading home to Australia after a six month deployment in Middle East conducting anti-piracy operations.
Australian Ship's Commanding Officer, Commander Brendon Zilko accompanied by Australian Defence Adviser to Sri Lanka, Colonel Michael Collie called on Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Western Naval Command Headquarters in Colombo and held cordial discussions, the Navy said.
The 118-meter long Anzac class frigate of the Royal Australian Navy, with a displacement of 3,600 tonnes, is carrying 192 naval personnel onboard.
The ship's crew will participate in a special programme organized by the Sri Lanka Navy during their stay in Sri Lanka.
The visiting Australian ship will stay in Sri Lanka until 04th June, the Sri Lankan Navy said.
